Sept 8 and 9th I stayed in Portland working on my computer problems which required a number of trips to Best Buy and many hours of work but finally got it together and working again. Dealt with problems back home with old land lord who agreed to settle but sad way to end using lawyers when he is dieing of a brain wasting disease. Good news to hear my friend had a baby. Ate at a Thai restaurant which was fantastic coconut soup. Shopped for outdoor gear and GPS equipment, rested, took showers, etc..
I have about 2 weeks to make it to South Carolina in time for my fathers wedding and now starts the next phase of the journey, the return home to the east coast.
Note: I took lots of pictures over the next 9 days but sadly they are lost, from now through Day 30 there are no pictures except for ones taken from other website.
